Werner Meier’s very first car was a new Corvette. His love for the car would eventually guide the direction of his life taking him from his family’s garage where he would work on cars with his friends, to one day starting Masterworks Automotive Services. Now regarded as one of the best in the world at restoration, Werner has worked on over 100 Corvettes, including cars built for Harley Earl, Bill Mitchell and others
Masterworks Automotive Services was established to address the needs of the collector car and specialty vehicle communities. The opening of 14,000+ sq. ft. building in Madison Heights fulfills a lifelong dream to service, repair and restore classic, muscle and other collectible cars.
The business was originally incorporated in 1979, and specialized in the remanufacture of braking system components. The scope of offered services has steadily increased over the past 25 years, and today Masterworks can address vehicle needs from bumper to bumper. Services range from minor tune-ups to frame-off rotisserie restorations.
Vehicles completed by Masterworks have competed successfully in Concours and show events, including the Meadowbrook Hall and Bay Harbour Concours d’Elegance, Eyes on Design and the Bloomington Gold Hall of Fame. While the majority of the vehicles being serviced will never compete in exclusive invitational shows, the work standards applied at Masterworks are the same. Regardless of whether the car is a weekend warrior, summer driver or exclusive show car, they will receive the same level of care and attention to detail by the dedicated team of craftsmen.
